London, William Pamplin, 1854, 1. edition, pp. vii, 98 fine hand-coloured lithographed plates with protective tissue by Walter Hood Fitch numbered 1-100 (2 double-page plates with double numeration, viz. 39/40 and 71/72) each with leaf of text, large 8vo (175 x 254 mm), top-edge gilt, marbled endpapers, half morocco with marbled boards, spine with raised bands and gilt lettering. Light small marginal stains in a few places. Fine and attractive copy.

Seperately titled issue of volume 10 of the Icones plantarum on large paper and with coloured plates. A 'Second century' was published in 1860, but this work is complete in itself.
